HOME of VA Challenges Four Proposed HUD Rule Changes

This year, HOME of VA has submitted four public comments to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development regarding proposed changes to rules and regulations. In each case — including proposals involving disparate impact, equal access, housing vouchers, and families with mixed immigration status — HOME has argued that the proposals exceed HUD’s statutory authority and conflict with the Fair Housing Act.
