DESCRIPTION:Join us on April 29 at the Library of Virginia in Richmond for 
 a conversation with two leaders shaping housing policy right now.\n\nDeleg
 ate Rae Cousins and Mayor Danny Avula will sit down with HOME of VA execut
 ive director Thomas Okuda Fitzpatrick to answer one big question: How can 
 state and local government — and nonprofits like us — work together to
  expand equal access to housing?\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nDelegate Cousins has champi
 oned tenants' rights in the General Assembly for years. This session\, she
  sponsored legislation giving renters the power to sue landlords over dang
 erous living conditions. Thanks to her leadership and HOME's advocacy\, th
 e bill passed — and now heads to the governor.\n\nMayor Avula campaigned
  on expanding housing access and affordability\, and recently unveiled a h
 ousing plan to build more homes and prevent displacement. Among its priori
 ties: an ambitious zoning overhaul\, Richmond's first in 50 years.\n\nCome
  hear what these leaders believe will actually move the needle — and ask
  them how we make sure all Virginians can live in safe\, stable homes in n
