Alex Guzmán is the Director of Fair Housing at HOME, where he oversees the organization’s investigations into allegations of housing discrimination. He also manages HOME’s Policy Advisory Committee. He has been with HOME since December 2014.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Hispanic Studies from the College of William & Mary. He is currently studying a Masters of Public Administration at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where he is a Graduate Assistant and recipient of the Dean’s Diversity Award. He sits on the Board of Directors for RVA Rapid Transit, a nonprofit advocating for a regional public transit system. Prior to his time at HOME, Alex worked as a claims investigator in the insurance industry and was a human rights advocate in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Having grown up in the Richmond region, Alex is passionate about giving back to the community through his work at HOME.
